Nestled between the Dandorino Mountains and the Utarian Sea, the peaceful Kingdom of Kalisto glistens...a monument of tranquility...a monument of power. Kalisto consists of about 135 towns and cities. Noteworthy are Miraan, Palem, Iragarde, and of course, Rem. Miraan is located North of Rem along the Dakteres River. Miraan serves as the primary training ground for the Kingdom's armed forces. Over time, settlements and shops began to pop up around the town. Miraan became a prosperous city and an integral part of Kalistonoan society. Palem serves as an embassy between Kalisto proper and the Elves of the Cheralindrian Forest. It is here that our two cultures mingle and learn more about each other. Iragarde is better known as the "Magical City". It is here that the Academy of the Magic Arts is located. Magically gifted youngsters are taught how to control and harness their powers. Rem is the capitol of Kalisto, and naturally is where the Kalisto Castle is located. This is the very center of Kalistonian civilization. The city straddles the Dakteres River. The Valusia Seaport connects Kalisto to the rest of the world via the waterways and Utarian Sea. At the steps leading to the Castle stands the statue of Aurathen, Kalisto's first King. It is told that here, he fell after defeating the Wraiths of Zehgul during the First Great War. After a generation of uncertainty of Kalisto's throne, Aurathen's rightful heir was at last found. Though reluctant to accept the throne of mighty Kalisto, Nemo, son of Unden became king. Under his rule, Kalisto has survived the Second Great War and has emerged more prosperous than ever.
